On the boat you don’t need much and when you go ashore the clothing is very informal. Almost all our guests at the end of the holiday say they have only used half of the clothes they packed.
So here are our tips.
For convenience and storage reasons, we ask that you limit your luggage to the essentials and not bring hard suitcases. We recommend using a soft bag or a backpack that can be flattened.
In the cabins there are lockers where you can store your clothes.
What to pack for a sailing week:
- hat and sunglasses
- non-oily sunscreen, aftersun, shampoo and creams if you have any you prefer
- medicines you usually use
- a windproof jacket (a waxed jacket is not used in summer)
- a fleece or a sweatshirt or a sweater because in the evening it can be cool
- shorts, t-shirts, swimsuits
- boat shoes (to avoid hurting your feet and slipping) not to be used to go ashore so that the soles remain clean, but if you want you can go barefoot on board
- Shoes or sandals for walking with soles that offer good grip (suitable for a short trek or a walk on land)
- each cabin is equipped with a USB type A socket to charge mobile phones, so the cable with the USB plug is sufficient
- towels
- if you are a light sleeper we suggest you bring earplugs.
What you will find on the boat:
- swimming mask and goggles, there are also fins on board (ask to find out if your size is available)
sheets, pillows and light blankets - Waterproof bag
- As for electrical equipment, 220 sockets are available, but only low-absorption. To be clear, it is NOT possible to use a hair dryer unless the boat is docked at the dock (which rarely happens).
