Milos Unveiled: A Day of Pirate Hideouts, Stunning Dunes, and Historic Charm
Monday
The day begins with a short sail that takes us to a delightful cove—once a pirate hideout—a forgotten spot accessible only by boat.
After a fresh and wholesome lunch, we set our course for the island of Milos. With the wind on the beam propelling the boat powerfully, we reach one of the most beautiful islands in the Cyclades.
In the afternoon, we head toward Adamas. If the wind permits, we will drop anchor in front of the spectacular white dunes of Sarakiniko; otherwise, you can visit Sarakiniko by land on a scooter or taxi once you have arrived at the island’s port. Sarakiniko is a natural wonder of white rocks sculpted by wind and sea, creating a unique, lunar-like landscape with turquoise waters perfect for a swim.
We arrive in Adamas in the evening, where we find a picturesque and lively harbor—the main maritime center of Milos. Adamas is famous for its welcoming atmosphere and vibrant waterfront, lined with bars, cafés, and restaurants overlooking the harbor. Here, we prepare for a special evening by ascending toward the castle and the monastery to admire the sunset from an exceptional panoramic viewpoint, enjoying a breathtaking view of the entire island.
The day concludes with a visit to Plaka, the historic capital of Milos, perched on a hill. Plaka is a charming and authentic village, with cobblestone streets, whitewashed houses, and flower-adorned balconies. Its traditional tavernas are perfect for savoring local flavors, while the evening ambiance of Plaka—with its soft lights and views over the Aegean—makes dinner a truly memorable experience, immersed in the authentic beauty and charm of the Cyclades.
Milos South and Kleftiko
Tuesday
After leaving the expansive bay of Milos behind, we sail for about ten miles with a favorable wind until we reach the southwestern tip of the island, where the spectacular Kleftiko awaits. This fascinating spot is renowned for its imposing rock formations: towering sea stacks rise from the waters, and the coastline is dotted with mysterious caves that, according to legend, once served as a refuge for pirates.
We will anchor over a white sandy seabed, immersed in crystal-clear waters and surrounded by enchanting cliffs. Here, the white rock is streaked with captivating veins of red, green, and yellow—a true natural spectacle that makes Kleftiko one of the most striking settings in the Cyclades.
We will explore the caves aboard a tender, venturing into the crevices with a flashlight. The light illuminates the rocky walls, revealing surprising colors and shadow plays that make the exploration even more evocative. Every nook seems to hold a secret, offering a unique and unforgettable experience in this corner of wild, captivating nature.
The afternoon will pass peacefully with refreshing swims in the clear waters and strolls along the long white beach. Relaxation on board will become even more magical at sunset, when the cliff is bathed in warm, enveloping hues, transforming the landscape into a living painting.
We will conclude the day with a delicious dinner on board and spend the night anchored in the bay, cradled by the sea and surrounded by the untamed beauty of Kleftiko.
Polyaigos
Wednesday
The day begins with a special stop to admire the spectacular sand waterfalls—a fascinating natural phenomenon where sand cascades down the rocks, creating a unique and evocative landscape. After this break, we set sail on a close-hauled course that, depending on the wind, can be intense and exhilarating, heading toward our next destination: Polyaigos, an uninhabited and wild island.
Upon reaching the island, we anchor in one of the most beautiful bays in the Cyclades—a true natural pool with crystal-clear waters and white sand, perfectly sheltered from the Meltemi. Here, an afternoon of pure relaxation awaits: refreshing swims and plenty of time to enjoy the island’s unspoiled beauty.
At sunset, we will ascend a mountain path for a short walk, from which we can witness an unforgettable spectacle as the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky with warm, enveloping colors.
In the evening, we arrive at the island of Kimolos. We drop anchor in front of a picturesque fishing village, and from there, a short stroll leads us to a delightful town where we dine in a taverna nestled among its lively, charming alleys.
Despotico
THURSDAY
A smooth and swift sail carries us to Despotico, an uninhabited and wild island enlivened by boats arriving from nearby Paros and Antiparos. Despotico is a place of rare beauty, where untouched nature and a serene atmosphere create a true refuge away from the world.
We drop anchor in the clear waters of the channel that separates Despotico from Antiparos—a little slice of paradise with transparent seabeds and landscapes that seem painted. The afternoon unfolds slowly with refreshing swims and moments of relaxation on board, cradled by the silence and the wild beauty of this place.
As the sun begins to set, we prepare for an onboard aperitif, sipping a drink while admiring the sunset that paints the sky in warm, enveloping hues. With the sun plunging into the sea, the landscape transforms into a perfect picture, delivering a magical conclusion to our day in this pristine corner of the Cyclades.
We celebrate the evening with an iconic dish from the Romagna tradition: tagliatelle al ragù. Our skippers, with passion and skill, knead eggs and flour to create fresh tagliatelle while the ragù slowly simmers, releasing the authentic aromas of Italian cuisine. The result is a dish rich in flavor and warmth—a tribute to fine dining to be savored in this breathtaking setting. A convivial dinner that brings a touch of Italy on board, making the evening truly unforgettable.
Anti Paros e Paros
FRIDAY
The day begins with a visit to the Despotico Archaeological Park, a fascinating place that houses ancient artifacts and tells the millennial history of this uninhabited island. After exploring, a short yet intense sail takes us to three small islets in the channel between Antiparos and Paros, where we drop anchor for a lunch stop. Here, we enjoy another moment of relaxation and refreshing swims in the crystal-clear waters that separate these islands.
In the afternoon, we resume sailing to reach Paroikia, the capital of Paros. Along the way, we pass through the narrow channel between Paros and Antiparos, a stretch characterized by shallow waters and the vibrant presence of kitesurfers whose colorful displays fill the sky, resembling flocks of butterflies dancing on the waves. This energetic spectacle creates a unique atmosphere during our passage.

On Saturday morning, after a leisurely breakfast on board, it's time to say our farewells. We conclude our adventure with disembarkation, carrying unforgettable memories of this cruise amidst the beauties of the Cyclades.
