Below the answers to typical questions (FAQ) we are asked by our guests. For any other information please contact us.

What if I don’t speak italian?

We speak italian, english, french and some spanish and we like to comunicate with our guest so it will be no problems!

What should I know before getting into the boat?
Before arriving do not really need to know anything special, the main thing is keep your appointment for your boarding. When you are on board we will be happy to explain our boat and provide all the necessary information.

What does the skipper?
He is responsible for the conduct of the vessel and the safety of the crew, the choice of routes and itineraries, ports and anchorages.

Seasickness
Our boat is very stable and does not seem to stimuli seasickness and since now very few guests had any symptoms of seasickness. If you still think you suffer you should consult your doctor and arrange the appropriate drugs.

Fresh water
The tanks of the Walkabout have 650 liters capacity that usualy are enough for a weekly cruise. Fresh water is a scarce resource, especially on the sunny Greek islands and it is good not to waste it.

Smoke
On board the narrow space, the wind and the presence of flammable materials means that for safety reasons smoking is poorly tolerated, are permitted electronic cigarettes.

The itinerary can be modified?
The itinerary can be modified at the request of the crew, if everyone agrees, and if the skipper approves. If you book the entire boat any itinerary changes can be requested at time of booking.
The skipper may change the itinerary in its sole discretion if the weather conditions are unfavorable and affect the safety for the boat and the crew.

What other expenses?
The ports fee, fuel, water are included in a lump sum amount of 60€ per person to be paid on board. You have to add any costs for restaurant dinners (in Greece spends an average of € 15-20 per head), for souvenirs etc.

Port of embarkation and disembarkation
Is the port where we meet (group and skipper) to start the cruise. This location is chosen so that it is accessible by public transportation .
The port of  disembarkation is the place where the cruise ends and where we will embark guest for the next cruise.

Who work in the boat?
We are responsible for conducting the boat preparing meals and cleaning the dishes.
Cleaning of bathrooms and cabins is done once a week when we change crew

You can team up to help run the boat?
Yes.
The cooperation is welcome and encouraged, so if you want you can try the thrill of sailing the boat, of adjust the sails and generally participate in the maneuvers.
For those who want we can arrange a small sailing school where informal get through all the stages of sailing, from cruise planning to anchorages.
For those who want, you can try their hand in the kitchen preparing meals. Typically you end up doing small culinary challenges among crew members here.

What should I pack?

Our boat is spacious but it is useless to bring heavy suitcases full of things that you will not use!
By no means should you use the hard cases that are difficult to stow.
Boat and ground clothing are informal
They are highly recommended: sunglasses, hat, 1 pair of boat shoes for use only on board, protective creams for the sun and a light windbreaker (type K Way). And of course the sea clothes, long pants and sweater for the evening, shorts and tee shirt for the day, personal clothing.
For snorkelers: fins and snorkel.
Be careful not to exceed any limits of size and weight imposed by the airlines.
Do not forget to keep a little ‘space for souvenirs and any gifts. On board we have a scale for weighing luggage.

Linen is provided on board?
On board are provided pillows, sheets, pillowcases and blankets. We will not provide towels.

Can I come on a cruise with you although I have no sailing experience?
Our charters are open to everyone.
You will have the opportunity to try something new, exciting, in an environment conducive to the friendships, and if you wish, you will have a chance to learn the basics of sailing.
When booking we will tell you if the cruise that you are subscribing is ok for your skills and experience.
