Why Choose This Vacation
1. The Real Aegean, Away from Crowds on Secret Islands
This itinerary takes you to the eastern Aegean, an authentic archipelago far from mass tourism. While others crowd the better-known islands, you’ll sail to hidden gems like Fourni, an archipelago of 12 islets with a genuine village; Agathonisi, the smallest and most remote island of the Dodecanese with only 200 inhabitants; Ikaria, one of 5 “Blue Zones” worldwide known for slow rhythms and residents’ longevity; and the wild coast of Broulidia on Chios, ideal for sunsets and starry skies. Zero mass tourism, 100% Greek authenticity.
2. Millennia-Old History and UNESCO Heritage
Not just crystal sea, but also a deep immersion in ancient history. You’ll visit the Eupalinian Aqueduct in Samos, a 6th-century BC engineering work and UNESCO Heritage, and the archaeological remains of Ancient Samos. You’ll explore Chios, the only island in the world where precious mastic resin grows, and Ikaria, land of myths (Icarus’ flight), with natural Roman baths and well-preserved ancient culture. You’ll sail the routes of the ancient Greeks.
3. Unique Gastronomic Experiences
Taste the local gastronomic heritage, distinctive for each island. Fourni is famous for its fish tavernas, while Ikaria offers “Longevity Cuisine” with dishes like goat stifado. In Samos you can taste the renowned sweet Muscat Wine DOP and traditional cheeses, and in Chios unique mastic-based products, like liqueurs and sweets. Onboard, skippers will prepare dishes with fresh ingredients purchased at local markets.
4. Balanced Sailing: Sailing + Culture + Relaxation
This is a perfectly balanced formula for a stress-free sailing vacation. 40% of the experience is dedicated to Real Sailing, with manageable crossings (2-4 hours) in open sea. 30% is Cultural Immersion, exploring authentic villages, archaeological sites and living maritime traditions. The remaining 30% is pure Beach Relaxation in paradise bays (e.g. Pelekania Beach), with snorkeling and swimming in crystal waters. The perfect balance between adventure and rest.
5. Small Islands, Big Emotions
Discover the charm of small jewel-islands. Fourni, with its 1,500 inhabitants, offers a genuine atmosphere among fishermen mending nets. Agathonisi, with only 200 residents, is the most remote and authentic island of the archipelago. In Ikaria, you’ll embrace the “slow” life philosophy: no schedules, no stress. You’ll experience authentic Greece that’s disappearing elsewhere.
