Charter in the Small Cyclades

CRUISE ITINERARY

We will start from the island of Paros, located in the Aegean Sea, an island famous among windserf and kitesurf enthusiasts.
Ours is a fast and comfortable ocean cruising boat and you can see it at work with exciting navigations that will take you to the most beautiful islands of the Cyclades.

Skhinoussa (or Skinoussa), an island with a relaxed and authentic atmosphere with its Chora, a beautiful village with traditional white houses, narrow streets and a central square. Koufonissi (or Koufonisia) small island famous for its beautiful white sand beaches and crystal clear waters, Keros sacred and uninhabited island our favorite of this itinerary. Rugged and charming Amorgos with the beautiful Chora and the impressive monastery of Hozoviotissa, built sheer above the sea.

On board, Lorenzo and Annalisa expert navigators, in addition to taking care of the management of the boat, will prepare you excellent lunches, to also offer you the pleasure of good food.

SATURDAY
Embarking in the late afternoon in Paroikia Paros, welcome drink and accommodation yours cabins; then we go to buy food. In the evening, we go out to dinner in a typical Greek restaurant.

SUNDAY
Coming out of the Gulf of Paroikia we will pass the narrow (and very shallow water) between Paros and AntiParos. Then a long sailing upwind to reach Schinoussa.

Schinoussa is a small island, where agricultural activities are still predominant and where tourism is still underdeveloped. The streets are not paved and Chora consists of a few dozen houses along the main road. We anchor in the bay of Livadi and after lunch we will spend a relaxing afternoon. In the late afternoon a splendid walk up to Chora, then dinner in a typical Greek tavern, a little place with outdoor tables, and it makes a very special Greek traditional cuisine.

MONDAY 

We leave Schinoussa to reach Amorgos; we expect a sailing that can be quite intense and fun. Amorgos is a barren island, wild surrounded by a blue sea that contrasts with the surrounding landscape. We anchor in the big bay of Katakopula. Lunch in the bay and then in the afternoon is a must a visit to Hozoviotissa monastery that is nestled in the rock 300 meters above the sea; is located on the south coast of the island. To get there you can rent a scooter; then you will need to climb the nearly 1000 steps, but the effort will be rewarded by breathtaking scenery and welcoming attitude of the monks who usually offer a glass of rakomelo and fruit sweets and sugar. Do not miss a visit to Chora.

 

Amorgos

TUESDAY

10 miles of intense close hauled sailing to reach AntiKeros, two uninhabited islands separated by a narrow channel which forms a wonderful anchorage,  perfect stop for swimming and to have lunch. Then another short close reached sailing  to reach a bay in the south cost of Schinoussa.

WEDNESDAY 

Today little sailing and lots of relaxation! Short upwind beat to reach Kato Koufonissi, a small island with a dozen houses and long white beaches. We will hanchor a few meters from the white sandy beach in a crystal clear water. Afternoon swimming and relaxing; in the late afternoon transfer to Koufounissi, which is an half hour navigation. Mundane evening at Kofounissi.

 

THURSDAY

We expect a beautiful and intense sailing in one of the Aegean windy areas, the channel between Naxos and Paros; the first part of the navigation will be a close reach sailing, and then it will be upwind.

We'll get to Anti-Paros in the early afternoon and we will anchor in the big bay of Despotiko.

Dinner onboard

FRIDAY

In the morning we will visit the archaeological site that is located on the island of Despotiko. Are the remains of an ancient temple of Apollo, situated on a plateau with a breathtaking view of the Aegean sea.

Then a short, but often very intense navigation will lead us to Pandieronisia, a small island located in the channel between Paros and Anti-Paros, relaxing afternoon and in the afternoon we will reach Paroikia on Paros.

The stages of the itinerary are subject to change due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances that prevent or make navigation to reach them or mooring uncomfortable. Any changes to the itinerary are implemented exclusively to ensure a better organization of the holiday and to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests.
